Preserving History 1903 REPO Train Wagon
From East Tawas, MI a crew takes on a mission to bring a century old railway wagon to the historic Grand Trunk Railroad Depot in St. Johns. Peppermint Jim said: "Preserving history is important to me personally and just as important to our future generations. During the move of the wagons, I was a board member of the arts council and it was our goal to have an established railroad museum. The deals were struck and the railroad cars were donated. The only condition was to move them ourselves. The expenses were high and experts said it couldn't be done. I had the honor of being a part of a small group of creative, passionate and hard working volunteers that truly believed in bringing the rail road car 250 miles to Mint City USA. We believed the impossible." To read the full story click here: http://clintonnorthernrailway.org/?q=node/18 -
